Reset Package

The reset package is focused on pushing yourself physically, and providing time in nature to reset from the distractions of the world to reconnect with the lord.

We set aside time during the day for quiet reflection and facilitate group bible study time and worship evenings. We encourage personal testimonies and a deepening of trust between the group to help us all overcome our challenges as we relate to others who have shared similar tribulations. 

Enjoy quiet time in nature, with the lord, by putting your phones away, allowing only a brief 20-minute check-in for updates and emergencies. Spend a portion of your time camping in the wilderness, cooking your meals over a campfire, and fully immersing yourself in the natural world. 

The bootcamp includes 6 days training a week at the outdoor body weight gym and lodge gym, as well as scenic safari runs and dam swims. We also include training with the anti poaching scouts for the parks rhinos. Our goal is to push both your bodies and your minds to the limit and foster amazing team bonding and a social environment.

To foster this social life amongst and make it an unforgetable experience we participate in the following activities. 

• Wildlife darting and care, including lion and elephant. (Subject to necessity)
• Social safari drives.
• Closeup wildlife encounters, including lion walks as well as elephant and rhino interactions.
• Dam days and cruises in the summer.
• Starlight by campfire in the bush
• Fishing 
• Movie nights
   

The bootcamp package occurs once every month for two weeks. You are not required to book for the full two weeks.

Should you be forced to leave early or you are dissatisfied with our service we offer 100% money back for the remainder of your stay. For example, if you have paid for 3 weeks and you leave after the first week, we will reimburse you for the remaining 2 weeks. 

Travel costs occuring outside the allocated leaving days are not included. Special transport will be charged at the going rate.

The volunteering is made available at extra cost. African bootcamp partners with Antelope Park to give you access to join in with some of their volunteer activities during your stay.

The programs include:

1. Community service. You can help out in the local communities with aid projects such as teaching at the local schools, food kitchens and subject to availability you can aid in building school facilites and any other project that helps the local communities. 
2. Safari Stables working holiday. You work in the stables during the morning and then do fun and educational horse activities such as show jumping, dressage, polocrosse, cross country and moonlight safari rides. 
3. Wildlife Management. You will have up close access to elephants, rhinos and lions and will be tasked with maintaining their wellfare. This includes sourcing food and cleaning camps.

Besides your two nights camping in the bush, you will stay at camp in the basic accommodation. The rooms are communal, with 2-4 people sharing a room in a private lodge. You have the option to upgrade to the premium 2 person Safari tents for $350. We cannot guarantee a solo room, but please feel free to contact us to check availability. Wholesome food and laundry services are included as well as the wifi for the brief digital catchup periods.

• How do you facilitate our time with the lord?

We believe that time time in nature, time spent with other men of faith and being pushed to your physical limits all without the distraction of the outside world can do wonders for a man's perspective and walk with God. We organise personal quiet time as well as cell group where together we can navigate our troubles with faith and life. The most important thing is that you personally spend quiet time with the lord in prayer and supplication.

• Can I change my package if I'm already there?

No problem. You can change at any point if you feel you will get better value from another package. You will be charged at the new rate for the remaining days of your stay. 

• What if I am not very fit?

Don't worry, we give you a pre holiday training plan, and we make allowances for those who are obviously behind the group.

• Meals and vegan options.

We provide well rounded meals as well as vegan options. However, we do not follow a specific diet plan. We also have healthy smoothies and food options at extra cost from the coffee shop.

• Are the travel costs included?

If you arrive within our set times we will cover the cost of your travel to and from Bulawayo, otherwise we charge a $180 pickup fee. If you land in Harare we will send a driver to collect you at an additional cost of $250. Flights, travel insurance and other costs required to get you to Zimbabwe are not included.  

• Do you provide exercise supplements. 

We do not offer free supplements, but we can source some at cost for you. (Please note that advanced notice is required.)
